We couldn’t agree with Eliot more. Mother earth is deeply wounded by the demon called COVID-19. Eliot wrote this famous line in his poem “The Wasteland” in the context of World War II. BBC has reported recently that Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary-General, has defined the outbreak of Corona as the biggest global challenge since World War II. He further warned that Corona could cause a recession “that probably has no parallel in the recent past”.
According to the statistics given by the World Health Organization, worldwide 1,174,855 people have been identified as Corona affected till 6th April 2020; 64,471 people across the world have died; 209 countries, areas or territories are suffering from Corona.

How Is India Coping with Corona?
Considering the suggestion of WHO, entire India is going through the phase of lockdown; only emergency services are available. Every day, the number of Corona affected people is climbing up. People are not getting enough food, groceries, and staples in the market while home delivery services have become entirely exhausted due to heavy demand. Patients having other health issues than Corona are not able to visit health clinics or hospitals in fear of corona. Moreover, Corona is all set to affect India’s economic growth. Multiple sectors including manufacturing, oil, financial, travel, transport, etc are suffering badly. If this is the current scenario, what future is waiting for India?

It spreads through respiratory droplets coming out of coughs or sneezes of an infected person. These droplets tend to land in the mouths or noses of nearby people or get inhaled into the lungs.
